An elegant Regency Worcester porcelain plate of fluted and scalloped outline, produced during the Flight, Barr & Barr partnership and decorated in the celebrated "Dragon in Compartments" pattern, also known as "Bengal Tiger" or "Kylin".
Opposing shaped panels show a dragon and a kylin, divided by reserves with vases and precious objects on stands, reflecting Worcester's interpretation of Chinese Kangxi famille verte decoration.
The fluted rim derives from Worcester models established in the 1765-1775 decade, when this pattern was first introduced at the factory. By circa 1820 it remained firmly embedded within Worcester's orientalising repertoire, with structured cobalt borders and confident gilt framing typical of the Regency period.
The underside retains a "Flight Collection" label, linking the plate to the Worcester collection formed by Howard Emerson Flight - Lord Flight - direct descendant of Thomas Flight, who acquired the factory in 1783. Elements of this focused collection were later dispersed through major auctions including Bonhams and Toovey's.

Excellent condition. No breaks, cracks or restorations. The enamels remain bright and stable with only very minor surface wear to the decoration, commensurate with age. Overall preservation is notably strong for this pattern and period.
