Walker & Hall Antique silver-plated Table Centrepiece, 19th century

£350.00
Beautiful antique silver-plated table centre piece, composed in a classiс Victorian fashion with heavy embossing and relief work, completed by four clear glass epergnes in geometric symmetry. This piece on your table would be a rare glimpse at late Victorian decadence.

Hallmarked to Walker & Hall. Established in Sheffield in 1845 by George Walker, W&H have produced some of the finest British silverplate and Sheffield silverplate over their many years. Dated by the flag shape to the late 19th century.

Size including epergnes is 33 cm in width and depth
Weight is 1826 g including the epergnes, without is 1217 g

Great antique condition. Inside the space where the epergnes are inserted, the silver plating is slightly worn, otherwise perfect condition. There should be a glass cup in the centre which is not there. This is a rare case when all the epergnes have survived without damage.
