Rare Royal Worcester Porcelain Figure - "Karan Singh, The Trinket Maker" (1888)
This rare and exquisite Royal Worcester porcelain figure, "Karan Singh, The Trinket Maker," was designed by James Hadley and crafted in 1888. The sculpture depicts an artisan in traditional dress and turban, working at his hammer and anvil, surrounded by the tools of his trade.
The figure is finished in Royal Worcester's signature ivory-toned glaze, giving it an elegant and lifelike appearance. The ornate platform is sculpted with bottles, cups, and metalworking tools, highlighting the fine craftsmanship of the piece.
James Hadley, one of Royal Worcester's most celebrated sculptors, created the Indian Craftsmen series, considered among his finest works.
