Royal Worcester Egyptian Musician Pair by James Hadley, Large Sculptural Figures, 1893

£1,500.00
A rare large-format pair of Royal Worcester Egyptian musicians modelled by James Hadley and dated 1893. These elegant figures stand 32-33.5 cm high and offer the sculptural presence that distinguishes Hadley's finest work. One plays a lute-like instrument, the other lifts a tambourine in a poised rhythmic gesture.

Both carry the incised Hadley signature on the base, with Royal Worcester printed marks, the Registered Design number and shared model number 1084 beneath. The serene faces, soft modelling and warm ivory palette reflect Worcester's golden age, when Hadley's orientalist figures were produced only in small quantities.
This pair displays beautifully and has the quiet presence of small interior sculptures.
