Beautiful pair of 19th-century Vienna-style porcelain covered vases with domed lids and pink finials. Each vase is decorated on a deep ruby and emerald ground with elaborate gilding and raised scrollwork. The oval panels show mythological and allegorical scenes after Angelica Kauffmann, bordered with gilt laurel wreaths; the reverse sides feature gold medallions. Both retain their original lids and circular bases. Underside with blue shield mark and gilt number "25", characteristic of fine late-19th-century Viennese porcelain continuing the Imperial tradition. Angelica Kauffmann (1741-1807) was a celebrated Neoclassical artist, co-founder of the Royal Academy in London. Her graceful classical subjects were reproduced throughout Europe on porcelain and other decorative arts. Elegant and richly detailed, this matching pair combines vivid colour contrasts and refined gilding with timeless classical imagery — a highly decorative addition to any collection.
