A handsome Sherwin & Cotton figural tile, Hanley, c.1890. Warm mustard glaze with a classical lady carrying a water jug, modelled in subtle sepia shading using the maker's famed transfer process. Small "G" initial to the front; reverse with expected plaster traces from a historic fireplace surround.
