A rare and finely potted oval teapot attributed to the so-called "Factory Z", now associated with the workshop of Thomas Wolfe, Stoke-on-Trent, active circa 1790-1810. Made of early bone china, it features a loop handle, gently curved spout with foliate ornament, and a domed cover with pierced vent and pointed finial. The lid's profile evokes traditional pagoda shapes. Hand-painted in rose, puce, and iron-red enamels with floral sprigs and neoclassical borders. Underside marked with pattern No. 165, typical for Wolfe. Retains the collector's label from the David & Catriona Maisels Collection, a reference group of over 2,000 British ceramics. Parallels to this form and decoration are published in "Anthology of British Teapots" by Miller & Berthoud (1980), Plates 1093, 1097, and 1098. Collectible piece reflecting early 19th-century craftsmanship, clear provenance and scholarly references.

Dimensions: height 19.5 cm, handle to spout 27 cm, width 12 cm, weight 589g.

Condition: full paint preserved, two tiny lid hairlines, hairlines to base, small spout chip, otherwise excellent.
