Beautiful antique Danish bisque vase by P. Ipsens Enke, Copenhagen, made around 1880-1900. Distributed by A. Borgen & Co., London (stamped on the base). Features neoclassical reliefs after Thorvaldsen's "Angel of the Night" — one side with an angel carrying a child, the reverse with winged figures and an owl.
