Japanese Meiji mixed-metal tobacco case (tonkotsu) for sagemono wear. Bronze body with inlays of gold and silver (iro-zōgan) depicting the sage of longevity with deer and crane on one side and a heron amid lotus on the reverse. Signed 連斎高中 (Rensai Kōchū) in gold beside the lotus.
