A decorative Lalique "Renoncules" vase in opalescent pressed glass, combining a softly frosted upper body with a moulded band of stylised ranunculus flowers. The design translates natural forms into structured relief, animated by the interaction of light within the glass. The slightly blue-toned base enhances depth and gives the piece a stronger visual presence, especially in changing light conditions.
The surface shows a controlled satin finish above and a more translucent lower section, typical of Lalique production of this period. The modelling remains balanced and clearly defined, without loss of detail in the floral register.
The underside is engraved "Lalique France", indicating post-1945 production. René Lalique became one of the most influential designers of the twentieth century through his work in glass, following an earlier career in jewellery. His designs consistently draw on natural forms, refined into elegant decorative compositions.
A widely recognised Lalique model with strong decorative appeal and enduring collector demand, suitable both for display and interior use.
