Beautiful Wedgwood lustre Antique Bowl, pattern Z5068, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones c.1915. The exterior features a Powder Blue lustre ground with vividly painted butterflies; the interior glows with Mother-of-Pearl lustre, centred by a single butterfly. Makeig-Jones' work is highly regarded for its imaginative design and exceptional color work, combining the artistry of Fairyland Lustre with naturalistic motifs. This rare example combines refined color harmony with lifelike butterfly rendering, giving the impression they might alight at any moment.
