Brussels tin-glazed faience jug, c.1760-1790. Grand-feu painted décor à la haie fleurie with lambrequins to the neck; mask-moulded spout; scroll-painted handle; floral foot. Underglaze cobalt "R" inside the foot well (workman's mark typical for Brussels).
Condition: rim chips with old filler/toning; small glaze loss near the handle; scattered frits and minor firing spots. No cracks seen.
Size & weight: H 28.5 cm; body Ø 15.5 cm; width over handle 17 cm; 1.272 kg.
