Antique Royal Doulton Kingsware teapots trio with sterling silver mounts, early 20th century
A rare and collectable trio of antique Royal Doulton Kingsware teapots, each featuring sterling silver mounts and central moulded cameos of the iconic "Dame" — a Victorian woman holding a teacup. Each teapot bears a different version of a tea-themed motto, showcasing subtle differences in glaze tone, shape, and detail. This complete set includes large, medium, and small teapots, dating from the early 20th century.
The glossy brown glaze of Kingsware, developed by Charles Noke, lends a rich warmth to the ceramic surface, with mottled depth and variation in hue. The silver mounts, hallmarked for Charles Boyton & Sons, add refinement and contrast. These teapots were cherished display or serving pieces and are increasingly scarce to find as a set.

Kingsware was produced by Royal Doulton between 1898 and 1939. Its deep-coloured, high-gloss glaze allowed for detailed decoration and figural designs. Charles Noke, Doulton's art director, introduced the process, which became a hallmark of their early 20th-century wares.
