Antique Porcelain Figurine of a Lady with Fruit Basket, Possibly Bow or Samson, 19th Century

A graceful antique porcelain figurine depicting a lady holding a basket filled with apples and flowers. She stands serenely with rosy cheeks, wearing a flowing gown richly decorated with gilded floral motifs. The porcelain is a fine lily-white, carefully hand-painted in deep, vivid tones that lend warmth and vitality to the figure.

Though unmarked, the colour palette and styling are closely reminiscent of the Bow porcelain factory—an early British manufacturer known for its rivalry with Chelsea in the soft-paste porcelain scene. Alternatively, the piece may be a product of the Samson factory in Paris, renowned for its faithful and high-quality reproductions of 18th-century British porcelain. Samson's craftsmanship often equalled—and at times surpassed—that of the originals, making their works highly collectible in their own right.
