An early 19th-century hard paste porcelain teapot by New Hall, made during the reign of George III, circa 1800-1805. This well-potted example features the classic old oval shape with a high loop handle and an elegantly curved spout.
Hand-painted in bold enamel colours, the floral decoration corresponds to Pattern No. 376, a known and recorded New Hall design. The pattern number is hand-painted on the base. A similar teapot of this same shape is illustrated in An Anthology of British Teapots by Philip Miller & Michael Berthoud (plate 667, p.112), confirming its place within the established New Hall catalogue.
A beautifully decorated example of Georgian teaware, offering fine craftsmanship and bright, well-preserved colours from one of Britain's most important porcelain manufacturers of the period.
