Late 19th-century Russian porcelain tea cup and saucer from the Gardner Factory, Moscow. The cup is rounded with a crisp scroll handle; the saucer shallow with a raised well. Both are finished in a deep cobalt ground with hand-painted floral medallions in multicolor enamels, enriched with gilt scrolls and white arabesques. Inside the cup, a single rose is delicately painted. Marks: printed "Фабрики Гарднеръ въ Москвѣ" No 4 with the Moscow emblem (Saint George and the dragon) on both; red hand-painted number "128" under the cup. Gardner porcelain was prized in the late Imperial period for its enamel work and refined taste. The clear imperial mark, detailed floral painting, and excellent condition make the teacup a desirable reference piece for collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Condition: minor nearly invisible scuffs to the blue; otherwise excellent antique condition.
