A beautifully crafted French porcelain figurine dating to the late 19th century, made in imitation of the famous Chelsea porcelain factory. The pair depicts a young man and woman in 18th-century dress, posed in a pastoral scene with floral baskets and naturalistic tree stumps. The base bears a gold anchor mark, closely resembling that of 18th-century Chelsea porcelain, though this is a later Continental interpretation.
The figurine features fine detailing and a soft colour palette, typical of Chelsea-style works, with careful modelling of the clothing, hair, and floral accents. Though unconfirmed, the style and mark strongly suggest French origin during the late 1800s.
