Early 19th Century Black Cloisonné Vase with Hand-Hammered Body

A beautiful black cloisonné vase, featuring a hand-hammered body with a vertical seam, indicative of early 19th-century craftsmanship. The hammered base further confirms its period authenticity, as later cloisonné vases (post-1925) were crafted from single-piece forced sheet metal.

The vase is adorned with extremely fine cloisonné work, showcasing elegant floral motifs on a foliate spiral ground, framed by traditional ruyi head and plantain leaf bands. A remarkable example of early cloisonné artistry.
