A beautiful antique Chinese celadon jar from the Song Dynasty. With four loop handles and jade-green glaze, decorated with ducks, lotus and foliage. Symbolic of prosperity and purity, it represents the refined harmony of Song ceramics.
Measurements: 14 cm tall, 15 cm diameter, 696 g.
Condition: looks very good overall, but there is an enamel crack near one of the handles, and two body cracks. One small crack runs along the top rim near a handle and ends where the handle starts. The other is more extended, located on the side with the floral motif, running about 5 cm down to the top of the flower. Both cracks are very thin and almost invisible against the green background, but they are present. Otherwise, the pot remains in excellent condition for its age.
