A rare early 19th-century blue and white transferware plate by Enoch Wood & Sons, dating to around 1825. This fine English ceramic plate belongs to the Sporting Series and features the sought-after "Pointer and Quail" pattern.
The central design shows a detailed hunting scene with a sportsman, hunting dog, and pheasant. It is framed by a floral border in classic deep cobalt blue. The transfer engraving was done by John Scott, after a work by Philip Reinagle.
The back is marked with the impressed eagle stamp reading "Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem".
Perfect for collectors of Georgian English transferware, Staffordshire pottery, antique plates with dogs, or rural sporting scenes. Suitable for wall display, cabinet presentation, or use in period interiors.

Condition
Good antique condition. There is a crack running from the rim to the centre and a small fleabite on the edge, but the piece remains stable and displays beautifully. No restorations or major chips. Please examine all photographs carefully.
