This figure shows poorly dressed girl,carring a meagre basket of flowers, who is proffering a bloob with her right hand,possibly to a customer.
The subject was,perhaps,inspired by the activities of 'ADVERSITY' Hume,a nicname given to Joseph Hume (1777-1855) in about 1825 on account of his predictions of imminent financial disaster.

Condition Report : Right arm restored from above elbow to finger tips; hairline crack to base around hem of dress. Overpainting of the left hand.
The restoration has been carried out to a very high professional standard and can only be seen on closer inspection.
Otherwise the figurine is in excellent antique condition with complete color preservation.
