Pair of Antique Porcelain Figurines by Rudolf Kämmer, Volkstedt - Early 20th Century

A charming pair of antique porcelain figurines depicting a young man and woman, each dressed in elaborate pastel-toned attire and holding delicately modelled flowers. The soft monotonal palette, paired with the refined detailing of their garments and floral elements, reflects the superb craftsmanship associated with early 20th-century Thuringian porcelain.

These figures were produced by Rudolf Kämmer of Volkstedt, a porcelain manufacturer known for continuing the noble tradition of Thuringian porcelain artistry. Using time-honoured techniques, the Kämmer factory produced some of the finest figurines of the 20th century. Each figurine is marked to the base with the crowned "K" and the number 16L, denoting its origin in the early 1900s.

Measurements
Height (Gentleman): 23 cm
Height (Lady): 23.5 cm

Condition
The gentleman is in excellent antique condition, with no visible damage to the colours, leaves, or flowers. No losses have been identified, which is notably rare for figures of this type.
The lady is also in excellent condition, with only a minor issue: the tip of the floral garland has been professionally restored with glue and is only visible from the reverse side under magnification. The final leaf on the garland shows some loss, but aside from that, the piece is in superb condition.
