A fine pair of Royal Worcester blush ivory porcelain vases dating to 1900. They combine elegant classical forms with finely painted floral decoration, rich gilding and distinctive gilt faun-mask handles.
The flowers are painted with remarkable skill and delicacy, displaying the refined naturalism characteristic of Royal Worcester's finest blush ivory wares. Sunflowers, lilies, asters and wildflowers are painted in naturalistic colours with fine gilded outlines. The asymmetrical arrangements reflect the influence of Art Nouveau and the decorative taste of the late Victorian period.
One vase is decorated with summer sunflowers, asters and wildflowers, while the companion vase features lilies and other seasonal blooms painted in soft naturalistic colours. The differing floral arrangements give each vase its own character. Both vases retain their original Royal Worcester factory marks, including Registration No. 28655, Pattern No. 1911 and a Worcester date code corresponding to 1900. Matching pairs in this condition, with original gilding and complete factory marks, are increasingly difficult to find.
