A beautifully preserved trio of Wedgwood lustre miniature bowls, created by celebrated designer Daisy Makeig-Jones c.1915. The first bowl (pattern Z4825) features a warm Orange Lustre exterior with crystal mottling, and a luminous Mother-of-Pearl Lustre interior centred with a gilt Eastern mythical beast, finely detailed in gold. The second bowl (Z4829) has a rich Blue Lustre exterior and a shimmering Mother-of-Pearl interior decorated with a superb gilt tortoise motif, the shell patterned in soft blue and rose enamels.
The third bowl (Z4831) also displays a deep blue lustre exterior, with the same iridescent interior and a gilt tortoise design, subtly different in execution from Z4829. Each measures 9.5 cm in diameter and 2.8 cm in height — perfect for serving nuts, chocolates, or as decorative ring dishes. These compact forms were far less common than larger Wedgwood lustre bowls, and finding three with distinct but harmonious designs is unusual.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. Reflections in photos are from the lustre glaze and not flaws.
