Produced during the important Voigt period of the factory, the piece combines sculptural Rococo Revival modelling with richly applied floral ornament in the manner that made Sitzendorf porcelain especially popular during the Victorian era.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThe pierced upper rim imitates a cracked eggshell, while the body is decorated with applied porcelain roses, trailing vines and moulded foliage in soft pastel tones of green, yellow, cream and blush pink. The playful putti arranged around the body create a lively and theatrical composition with strong decorative charm.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThe underside bears the blue crossed-lines mark of the Sitzendorf Porcelain Manufactory used between 1884 and 1902, together with the impressed model number 354.
