A rare Rococo Revival porcelain coffee pot by Carl Tielsch & Co., dating to the 1850s. Crafted from hard-paste porcelain, the pot features a moulded eight-lobed baluster body decorated with deeply moulded floral and foliate motifs around the spout, handle, lid, and foot. Finished in a pure white glaze with rich hand-applied gilding, it reflects the elegance and opulence of mid-19th-century design.
The Rococo Revival style was inspired by 18th-century French porcelain, particularly from Sèvres and Meissen, and was popular across Europe during the second quarter of the 19th century. Pieces like this were both functional and decorative, expressing taste, refinement, and status.
