An elegant matched pair of antique Kyoto Satsuma vases signed Hakusan (白山), made c. 1890-1915. The warm crackled ground is finely hand-painted in enamel and gold: brocade-style shoulders of fan-shaped panels, soft lilac wisteria over gentle hills, and bijin with children among flowers and reeds. Gold is bright yet controlled, enhanced by tiny raised moriage dots. A graceful late-Meiji aesthetic perfect for refined interiors.
