A striking late Meiji Kyoto Satsuma vase painted in continuous panoramic scenes of scholars, Daoist immortals and attendants along a river landscape. Finely shaded enamels and dense raised gold create a shimmering brocade-like surface on an ivory crackled ground. Shoulder chrysanthemum brocade and portrait-level faces indicate high-grade Kyoto workmanship. The base inscription attributes the vase to the Seiko-en studio and the painter Chokei.

Condition
Very good antique condition. A small hairline at the rim and a star-shaped glaze crack to the base are stable under UV and confined to the glaze. Enamels and gilding remain rich with no structural cracks or repairs.
