The lid echoes the theme with a decorative fan motif.                                                                                                                                                                              The underside bears a black cartouche with the artist's signature in gold: Shozan - a documented Kyoto studio painter of the late 19th century. His works are entirely hand-painted, known for precise gilding and refined enamel detail.
