Each compact ovoid vase carries a beautifully painted garden scene with ladies reading and playing music beneath flowering trees. The reverse shows rich peonies and bamboo with butterflies on a fine ivory crackle ground. Deep cobalt panels at the shoulders and bases are decorated with raised gilt maple leaves and grasses.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nOne base is signed 金光山 (Kinkozan).
