A charming early Derby "Fable" candlestick: two finches among lush bocage with a spaniel below, on a rococo scroll base with green and gilt accents. Pale Family palette (1756-1769). Museum comparisons exist at the V&A, British Museum and Bowes Museum—collectible English Rococo at its best.
