An authentic late eighteenth-century porcelain coffee pot produced by the renowned Fürstenberg Porcelain Factory in Brunswick, Germany, circa 1780-1790. This elegant example follows the celebrated cylindrical "Zylindrische Form A" introduced by chief modeller Johann Heinrich Jaks and reflects the restrained refinement of German Neoclassicism. The substantial porcelain body is decorated with Fürstenberg's characteristic pale yellow ground, providing an elegant setting for beautifully hand-painted landscape reserves depicting classical ruins, riverside scenery, country paths and small rural figures. The undecorated white porcelain of the neck, spout and faceted handle contrasts beautifully with the rich original gilding and finely tooled gilt ornament around the shoulder. The matching domed cover repeats the landscape decoration and is finished with a sculptural gilded pinecone finial incorporating its original pierced steam vent. The underside preserves traces of a worn blue factory mark together with impressed numerals and model numbers.
