Dehua Blanc de Chine Huntress (Female Archer) on Rocky Base, c.1890

£350.00
White Dehua porcelain figure of a female archer standing on a rocky base. Broad-brim hat, light cloak, patterned tunic with applied pendants; bow in the right hand, quiver on the back, sword at the left. Soft facial modelling, narrow waist and low shoes indicate a female type. Dehua (Fujian) has produced blanc de Chine since the 17th century; by the late Qing/early Republic period workshops made genre subjects for home and export markets. The sword here is a conventional stage/folklore accessory often added to "warrior" types, not a literal hunting kit. Base underside largely closed with a small central vent; unmarked. Good workshop production. Small authentic c.1890 Dehua figure; collectors look for this female huntress model in clean, undamaged condition.

Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks or restorations observed.

Dimensions:
Height 17 cm; weight 249 g.
