Cylindrical yellow glazed carved bamboo form Chinese brushpot. Dark yellow monochrome coating with relief decoration of fine Phoenix bird (Fenghuang) pictured in front of a flowering tree near large flowers. The exterior of the picture continues with an image of a classical Chinese beetle. All within a landscape with sun, clouds, flowers and tree.
