A rare and beautifully crafted pair of antique porcelain figural candlesticks by the Sitzendorf Porcelain Manufactory, dating to around 1890. This matched pair features a young man and woman dressed in 18th-century Rococo style, each holding a woven basket and surrounded by naturalistic flowers and vines. Their poses, expressive faces, and delicate details capture the charm and elegance of late 19th-century German porcelain.
Both figures stand on ornate scrolling bases with applied flowers and foliage, finished in a soft, natural palette. The modelling is of exceptional quality, including fine lacework at the cuffs and collars and precise rendering of clothing and facial features. These are classic examples of Sitzendorf's finest work.
Each is marked with the cobalt blue crossed-lines Sitzendorf factory mark beneath the base and numbered 209. The pair is well-balanced in form, colour, and detail, and makes an ideal decorative display or addition to a collection of 19th-century European porcelain.

Condition
Male figure: Minor paint loss (interior of hat, belt, shoe) and a few small chips to the applied flowers and leaves.
Female figure: Tip of right thumb missing, minor paint loss on hat, minimal chipping to floral elements.
Both are in excellent antique condition overall with vibrant colours and original detail well preserved.
