Rozenburg achieved international fame at the Paris Exposition of 1900, where their revolutionary eggshell earthenware captivated collectors and critics. The innovative formula, developed by Dr. Jurriaan Kok, allowed for ultra-thin, translucent walls and vibrant colors. Vases of this quality are represented in leading museum collections, including the Rijksmuseum and Kunstmuseum Den Haag, and are highly prized by collectors for their rarity and artistry.                                                                               Both vases are marked to the base with the Rozenburg Den Haag factory stamp featuring a crown and stork, together with consecutive numbers (276, 298) indicating their sequence in a limited production series, and decorators' marks. Most likely the vases designed by company artist Willem Hartgring, renowned for his bird motifs.
