Stunning antique porcelain figurine of an elegant dame, garbed in fashionable early 19th century clothes in eye-catching polychrome, her stark black and pink petticoat playing against the flowing white of her dress.
Marked to the Rauenstein porcelain manufactory. Founded in 1783 by Friedrich Christian Greiner, who had bought the vacant Rauenstein castle to convert into a porcelain manufactory, Rauenstein Porcelain is one of the lesser known manufactories in the Thuringian area, which makes its pieces all the rare on the market. This one dates to the late 19th century.
Excellent antique condition, even the flowers in her hands are untouched. Please carefully regard all photos.
