Flower-selling lady with a basket of flowers, in pastels of colours, delightfully done. Earth tones ground the otherwise majestic shaped figurine. Notice how the glazing captures the light and make the figure full; the deep painting giving contour to the shape.

Marked to Capodimonte of Napoli, Italy, established in the mid-1700s at the Royal Factory by King Charles VII. If indeed Capodimonte, this would be a rare variant of its mark. This piece dates likely to 19th century.
