A Swiss silver three-body pocket watch of extraordinary rarity, dating to 1882-1912 and bearing two features that place it entirely outside the category of standard Ottoman-market watches: the Cyrillic inscription «МАКЕДОНИЈА» on the enamel dial, and the Cyrillic monogram «НВ» on the outer case — the initials of an Orthodox Slav owner.

The inner case carries authenticated Swiss silver hallmarks of the Neuchâtel and Jura export tradition. The movement is a gilt cylinder escapement with three ruby jewels. The enamel dial bears the full Ottoman military coat of arms of the Tanzimat and Hamidian period — cannons, rifles, sabres, anchor, scales of justice, Sultan's tughra — with the Cyrillic inscription «МАКЕДОНИЈА» at its centre.

This combination of elements strongly indicates the watch was presented to a Macedonian-born officer in the Ottoman army, at captain or major rank, before the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913. No comparable watch with a Cyrillic geographical inscription on the dial has been identified in any public auction record — this is a piece of genuine uniqueness.

The watch retains its original Macedonian hand-beaded pouch — yellow and blue geometric folk ornament with tassel, late 19th to early 20th century — made to protect the movement after the case latches failed. Watch and pouch have survived together as one unbroken ensemble.
