A fine Chinese export porcelain teapot from the early Qianlong period, dating to around 1740-1760. The ovoid, softly lobed body is decorated with circular medallions framed in iron-red enamel, each containing a hand-painted bouquet in delicate famille rose colours. A pink trellis-pattern border encircles the shoulder, interspersed with small floral sprigs, creating a refined and balanced decorative scheme. The domed lid repeats the same trellis and floral motifs and is topped with a knop retaining traces of its original gilding.

The elegant profile features a straight spout and a curved handle with a subtle ruyi-style spur. The smooth glaze and pale interior remain clean and well-preserved, a testament to the care given to this piece over almost three centuries.

This teapot represents the height of porcelain luxury in 18th-century Europe, exported for fashionable tea-drinkers and influencing early English porcelain manufacturers such as Worcester and New Hall. It stands as a beautiful example from the golden age of Chinese export ceramics.
