Beautiful antique porcelain figurine of a lady clutching a bouquet of flowers, even as it spills out of her dress. Painted tactfully in deep, mature colours with caramel and autumn overtones to the floral motifs, crisply contrasting against the stark turquoise of her frock and underpinned by her melancholic facial expression.
Truly a testament to Bavarian porcelain craftsmanship.
Marked to the Lenck Family, as well as with the numbers 4 and 4449. Dated to c. 1840. Attributed via the Handbook of Pottery and Porcelain Marks by J. P. Cushion.
Excellent antique condition. Minor losses in colours, right hand is professionally restored, golden gilt is lost in some places. Otherwise in excellent condition, note how well the paint has been preserved. Please carefully regard all photos. Also note stand is not included.
