Stunning antique English teapot from the 1770s, made of soft-paste porcelain and richly decorated with molded chinoiserie scenes and florals. A rare piece of Georgian tableware that blends history and beauty. This example is attributed to Philip Christian's Liverpool factory, which operated between 1765 and 1778. Inspired by Chinese and Rococo styles, Christian's teapots are distinctive in body and glaze, comparable to early Worcester but produced with local characteristics. A similar piece is in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (C.52\&A-1932). A rare and decorative piece for collectors of antique ceramics. The brightness of the enamels and the artistic brushwork are especially valued by collectors, along with its vintage charm and aesthetic appeal.

Condition: lid repaired and retouched; faint long crack around base (visible only on close inspection); chip to interior spout edge.
